Julia Rogers is a sculptor who focuses on installation and performance art using glass, metal and other materials.  She holds a BFA from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, Carbondale, IL, 2008, and is an MFA from Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, OH, 2010.

Originally from Brookings, Oregon, Julia studied art at Oregon State University in the late 1990's. She discovered glassblowing in 2000 and left school to learn how to work with this exciting material.

Julia worked in private studios for five years and then returned to school to pursue a degree in glass.   After completing her Masters she taught glass at the College for Creative Studies, Detroit, MI.  She currently teaches and demonstrates at the Chrysler Museum of Art Glass Studio.

Julia loves working with glass and sharing its magic with others.   Always finding inspiration within the molten material and excitement from her students she will continue to be an advocate of glass.
